The Long Journey Home.

Morrisville, NY in June is such a beautiful place. The rolling hills, green pastures, red barns, and dairy cows as far as the eyes can see. My younger sister Sheron moved here about 10 years ago with her family. This is how a Georgia girl has fallen in love with the people and the towns in this quaint area.

I travel up every chance I get. Usually about once a year. This trip was special. My oldest nephew was graduating high school. It is amazing how fast children grow up. It truly seems not so long ago I was pushing his stroller through the Atlanta Zoo.
Monday, July 5 he will be off to Scotland on his first international missions trip.

My trip was a blessing. I always love spending time with my sister and her family. I could not have hand picked a better brother in law and my three nephews (18, 12 and 18 months) are wonderful. It was a busy week. First was Al graduation and party. Then on the 30th six of us went to see the midnight showing of "Eclipse". My brother in law celebrated his birthday and now I am bringing the 12 yr old home with me for a month.

On our way home we stopped at Antietam battlefield in Sharpburg, MD. We walked the trails and visited the museum. It was a five hour delay in our journey home but it was well worth it.

We made it as far as Staunton, VA. We decided to stop for the night. We are at the Best Western. It is a nice clean place with an indoor pool. The children played in the pool until 10:00 pm. Now everyone in is getting settled in for the night. We will wake up at 7:00 am and start our 545 mile journey home!!!
